SAN ANTONIO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 24, 2005–Amer Technology, Inc. («Amer»), a leading provider of technology solutions, today announced that the U.S. Department of the Treasury, FedSource, has selected Amer as the prime contractor for a federal e-learning program, FasTrac. FasTrac provides e-training worldwide across the Internet, multiple intranets, and CD-ROM, and is open to all federal government organizations. As of February 10, 2005 federal agencies can purchase FasTrac’s state-of-the-art training and services from Amer at pre-negotiated, discounted prices, including training needs analysis, instructional design, curriculum development, interactive multimedia courseware development, off-the-shelf or custom content, instructor-led training, and web-based collaboration and mentoring.

In November 2001, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) was designated the head of an e-training initiative, which was designed to unify, simplify, and increase access to quality e-learning products and services that would enhance the accomplishment of government agency missions. In later agreements, OPM signed with FasTrac, a «learning solutions cooperative,» which was developed to foster cooperation among government organizations as a way to maximize learning technology interoperability and eliminate redundant development of advanced learning technologies.
