Updated Statement from Desire2Learn on Patent Litigation Aug 22, 2006 8:46 PM
Dear Clients,
Thank you for your strong and continued support! This is an updated statement on the patent litigation matter that you can share with your colleagues.

Blackboard made no attempt to contact or negotiate with Desire2Learn before filing suit. We as a company take this lawsuit seriously and will defend ourselves vigorously against this action.
From our beginnings in 1999 (and our predecessor proprietorships from 1996) Desire2Learn has been built on the belief that as a company we can use our creative thinking, innovative approach, and client focus to enhance teaching and learning worldwide. .
We have consistently developed new products and services that lead the industry. This has been accomplished through listening to our clients, reinvesting a significant portion of our revenue into R&D and new product development, and hiring and engaging talented employees who are passionate about our clients’ missions. We fundamentally believe in driving innovation and we put our time, talents and resources on the line to back that up. (leer más…)
