UK university lectures on iTunes

Ya hacía muchísimo que no hablábamos del iTunesU: martes 15 de noviembre de 2005 en [link]About Stanford on iTunes, el jueves 30 de noviembre de 2006 en Podagogy. Podcasting, enseñanza-aprendizaje, el viernes 3 de febrero de 2006 en [not] ‘Emprendedores’ se convierte en la primera serie distribuida en España mediante videopodcast en iTunes de Apple, el sábado 17 de junio de 2006 en [link] iTunes U, y por último [post] iTunes U. Critiques – it’s not as simple as that.

Aquí os traemos esta noticia de BBC News, sobre los contenidos educativos en iTunesU de varias universidades británicas… Es curioso, como los servicios van periódicamente cobrando visibilidad como el Guadiana, que aparece y desaparece…Los tratamientos de las cuestiones educativas en la prensa son curiosos, como mínimo …En todo caso, si andamos desde 2005 en este blog y otros hablando del servicio de iTunesU …es curioso que sea noticia 3 años después…y lo más curioso… dónde andas las Universidades Españolas…

Lectures can be downloaded from an academic iTunes serv University College London, the Open University and Trinity College Dublin are putting lectures onto iTunes. Educational content is already available in the United States through the non-charging «iTunes U» section of the music downloading service. But European universities are now joining, providing video and audio material for students to use on iPods or computers. The service will include recordings of lectures from leading academics. «Our students will be able to revisit materials presented to them in lectures, so they can learn anywhere and anytime,» says Professor Peter Mobbs at University College London (UCL).
