From e-learning to we-learning. Ambika Naithani.

El jueves 22 de febrero de 2007 hablamos de los prefijos en el learning en el post titulado: La bilocación, el U-travel y el u-learning: Tres lugares, tres conferencias, tres formas de aprendizaje a distancia o e-learning.y aunque también hablamos el lunes 19 de febrero de 2007 A por el chiri-learning. Una Chirigota con Clasehoy vamos a añadir un nuevo prefijo al learning, si ya teníamos el e-learning, el b-learning, el u-learning, el m-learning, el «chiri-learning», hoy añadimos el we-learning. Estaremos al tanto del éxito del concepto, mientras tanto voy a leer tranquilamente el documento y ya hablaremos. El texto ha aparecido en The economic times, India Times bajo el título:

MUMBAI: e-learning is passé. We-learning is in. Organisations tired of assimilating knowledge through traditional means are turning to peer-to-peer learning methods. They are doing this to assimilate knowledge faster. Though the concept is in its nascent stage at this point, but companies like Dr Reddy’s, Wipro, and IBM are pioneering its adoption.

In peer-to-peer learning, employees across all hierarchical levels share knowledge freely with each other. They either meet in person in specially designated forums, meet online or exchange ideas through in-house technical journals.

“Peer-to-peer can only reinforce the traditional mode of learning but not substitute it,” says Prabir Jha, chief, human resources, Dr Reddy’s. Mr Jha still gives more brownie points to face to face interactions among employees than other form of interactions as the formal are “more personal”.(leer más…)
